Skatefelagið and Margarinfabrikkin are hosting a skateboard school with skate teacher Diego Fiorese.
Diego Fiorese is coming to the Faroe Islands from the 15th of October to the 19th of October, to teach skateboarding to kids, youngsters and adults.
Diego Fiorese is a famous skateboarder, originally from Brazil. Diego has participated in several international competitions, including X-Games, and has been ranked third on the Professional World Skate Ranking list. These days Diego is competing in qualifing competitions for the Olympic Games in 2020. Diego has travelled all over the world with his skateboard, and is currently living in Denmark where he runs the skateboard school Skate Feliz and participates in international competitions.
Skatefelagið has gotten contact to Diego through Faroese parents to one of his students in Copenhagen. The Faroese parents were so pleased with his teaching, that they got in contact with Skatefelagið and introduced them to Diego. Skating has become quite popular again in Scandinavia, and now Faroese skaters will have a chance to meet and learn from a pro boarder.
The classes are divided in three consisting of two hours everyday from the 15th to 19th of October. Classes are limited to 12 participants, and will be held in Torshavn both indoor and outdoor.
The three classes are as following:
– Kids. 5 to 12 years old. From 14.00 to 16.00
– Youngsters. 12 to 17 years old. From 17.00 to 19.00
– Adults. 17 + years old. 19.00 to 21.00
