Tórshavn’s sixth hotel to open this summer

The demand for sleeping accommodation in the Faroe Islands has increased drastically over the past couple of years as tourism on the rocky islands has hit new, unprecedented heights.

Hence, now is the time to open new hotels in the Faroe Islands.

And that is exactly what is going to happen later this year.

Kvf.fo reports that a new boutique hotel, named Havgrím Seaside Hotel, is expected to open in Tórshavn this summer.

The hotel will be located by the seaside – ”Yviri við Strond” – in the building that was originally the Commandant’s House.

The hotel will include fourteen bedrooms with views overlooking the island of Nólsoy and will be only a five minute walk from the city centre.

There are currently five hotels in Tórshavn: Hotel Føroyar, Hotel Streym, Hotel Hafnia, Hotel Tórshavn and Hotel Havn.
