Three people were taken to The National Hospital (Landssjúkrahúsið) after a two-car head-on crash just outside Tórshavn (Sandvíkarhjalla) last night, reports Faroese news outlet Portal.fo.
Faroe Islands Police, Tórshavn Fire Brigade and the National Ambulance Service were called to the scene for a serious collision shortly after 8 p.m. last night, and traffic was diverted for around two hours at the scene of the crash.
One person was trapped inside one of the vehicles and had to be cut free by firefighters.
The severity of the injuries is unknown at this time, states Faroe Islands Police.
