Introduction:
Hello! I am Precious Berja Poulsen, 28 years old, currently working as a housekeeper in a hotel and a part time cleaner from a private company. I am from Iloilo City is on Panay Island of the Philippines. Only child in the family and a mother of two young boys currently,they lived with my parents backhome. I am happily married with my beloved faroese man, and very much indeed lucky to have 3sets of Families. My family(backhome), my danish host family and my husband’s family. (proud to say)
When and why did you move to the Faroe islands?
My husband and I met in Denmark last 2015, our relationship worked very well until we decided to settle down in the Faroe Islands last June 2017.
What was your first impression of the Faroe Islands and Faroese people?
I am not a nature lover but seeing the places entirely you will learn to love it, Faroe Islands is a very calm and peaceful place. Some Faroese I’ve met and known are very down to earth, never felt being outsider. In my own view, I was treated good and equal.
What’s the best thing about the Faroe Islands and Faroese people?
Best thing about hmmmm? that’s quite hard to spot but anyway the best of Faroes is the security of people who live, like less percent of the crime? I am not quite sure about the real status but so far I feel safe here. And the best of Faroese people is that they are nice and hospitable.
What’s the worst thing about the Faroe islands and Faroese people?
LOL the weather especially wind. Never been encountered bad intentions from a faroese so I don’t have the answer so far. haha Lucky me!
What are the differences between the Faroe Islands and your home country?
First is the weather, from hot to cold not easy for the first timers, food of course and the value of money for both countries is a huge different.
Do you like Faroese music? If yes, what are your favorite bands?
So far, I’ve been listening to Lena Anderssen’s music. Dream Chaser is one of my favorite to listen. haha
Do you like Faroese food? If yes, what are your favorite dishes?
No complain with faroese food except spik and sheephead.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Maybe here in the Faroes with my family. hmmm can’t predict the future but I’m contented for what I am today.
What are your strengths/weaknesses?
Strength is on how I can able to survived every obstacles been through without giving up, weaknesses is my loved ones. I meant that I don’t want to lose them.

TRAVEL hahaha

To pursue my Midwifery Education and get a better job.

Buy a house and pay the bills. LOL
What advice would you give to foreigners who plan to move to the Faroe Islands?
You must have a solid character, living in an Island is not easy. You can get depression or stress because being away from the life you used lived it is a big impact from your past to present. Be brave in every obstacles you will take. Nothing is impossible as long you keep believing you can make it.
