Typically, the plateau just below the summit of Sornfelli—the famous mountain towering 725 meters above sea level between Kaldbaksbotnur and Norðradalur on the island Streymoy—drew crowds of tourists, domestic and foreign, eager to enjoy the stunning views offered from there.
