Why Faroe Islands?
My husband got work here and moved to Faroe Islands so I came here after a few years and joined him.

What do you do here?
I work at Hiddenfjord.

Any Children?
We have one son.

Favourite time of the Year?
Christmas time.

If you end up in a lonely Island, what’s the one thing you will take with you?
My phone.

Any Faroese food you dislike?
Dry sheep meat and dry fish.

Your favourite meal?
Rice and chicken curry.

What is Puja?
It is praying to our Gods in difficult times.

What is it that you miss about India?
My Family.

Your daily routine?
Getting up, showering, going to work, back home, showering, talking to my mum on phone, eating dinner and going to bed.

The best quality you look for in a person?
Honesty.

What’s top on your bucket list?
Teaching kids.

What do you do in your free time?
I read books and newspapers online.

What is something you have always wanted to try?
Swimming.

What do you admire most in your husband?
He is a good man who helps me a lot.

What’s reminds you of home?
The statues I have and the festivals.

Your favourite childhood memory?
When I was little I used to go and visit people with my parents, especially with my father. I miss that…

Your education?
B.ed & B.sc in Geography.

What’s your goal in life?
To be a teacher in the Faroe Islands.

Your religion?
Hinduism but I believe in all religions and Gods.

What was the last book you read?
Short stories by Rabindranath Tagore.

Anything you would like done differently in Faroe Islands?
To be given a chance to choose the work we like even if we have difficulties in language.

What was the best day of your life?
The day I arrived in the Faroe Islands.

What was the most awkward thing that happened to you?
In the beginning when I came to the Faroe Islands, it was slippery on the roads and I slipped and fell in front of a lot of people! (She laughs)

Your best movie?
Sound of Music.

Your best talent?
Dancing Indian dance
