Spain have announced their squad for the upcoming 2020 European Championship qualifiers against the Faroe Islands and Sweden on June 7 and 10 respectively.
Villarreal midfielder Cazorla is arguably the biggest shock inclusion in the squad, returning for the first time since 2015. Cazorla has made 45 appearances for Villarreal in 2018/19 so far, scoring seven goals and assisting another 11 strikes.
Other surprise inclusions in Enrique’s 23-man squad include Real Sociedad duo Diego Llorente and Mikel Oyarzabal.
Premier League star Marcos Alonso is one of a few players who were excluded from the squad, while Atletico Madrid duo Koke and Saul Niguez were also snubbed.
Spain are big favorites to win against Sweden and, especially, the Faroe Islands.
The Faroe Islands have gotten off to a terrible start to their European Championship qualifying campaign, and the minnows will likely find it very difficult against the former European & World champions.
A 2-1 defeat away from home against Malta in March was a disaster for a team that has made a lot of progress under Danish manager Lars Olsen.
Three days later, a 4-1 loss to Romania away from home didn’t bring up the spirits of the Faroese footballers.

The match between the Faroe Islands and Spain will be played at Tórsvøllur Stadium in Tórshavn.
Three days later the Faroe Islands host Norway at the same stadium.
