The Útilív Adventure Festival invited people to join in for a weekend of trail running, adventures and parties at the edge of the world.
The festival hosted four trail races, with distances of 13km, 21km, 42km and a 65km ultra marathon. Runners had access to a post run party held in Mikkeller Bar Tórshavn, a welcome evening and an adventure film screening in Nordic House, and fully supported trail races.
Sustainability was at the forefront of The Útilív Adventure Festival. A beach clean in partnership with Ringrás, a local Faroese conservation project, was part of the programme, and a mini film festival showed films at the intersection of crucial environmental issues and adventure, which promised to inspire and entertain in equal measure.
As well as the trail races, there was an opportunity to try out different adventure activities in the Faroe Islands, from surfing, climbing and long-boarding to rapelling, kayaking and hiking.
