Last night ”new” and ”native” Faroe Islanders met at the Municipal Library in downtown Tórshavn as the event ”Sambinding” (Intertwining) took place – an event dedicated to mingling, talking and just having a nice time.

The evening started at 7 pm with a Faroese language course for beginners, and then Sharon Christiansen, originally from India, explained how she survived her first years in the Faroe Islands.

The aim of ”Sambinding” is to improve integration and the meeting between ”new” and ”native” Faroe Islanders.

“Sambinding” has been running on a monthly basis since 2016.

The next couple of intertwining events are scheduled for 6 March, 10 April, 8 May and 5 June.
