Pætur Niclasen finishes third in impressive fashion

33-year-old cross country skier Pætur Niclasen, a Faroese who currently lives and works in Greenland, won the bronze medal in the standing category of the men’s cross-country 10-kilometer classic at the national Greenlandic championships in cross-country skiing, which took place in Nuuk – the Greenlandic capital – over the weekend.

The ferociously brave Niclasen, who originally comes from the village of Eiði, finished behind Martin Møller who won the gold medal, writes Faroese news site in.fo.

Martin Møller competed for Denmark at the 2018 Winter Olympics in the cross-country skiing events.

The Greenlandic championship in cross-country skiing was held as a FIS-competition and more than 150 participants from across the country participated in the competition.
