Police were notified this afternoon – around 4 p.m. – that a car had come off the road near the church in the village of Glyvrar on Eysturoy, writes Faroese news site Portal.fo.
Portal.fo adds that the driver of the car was taken to the hospital in Tórshavn (Landssjúkrahúsið), and that no other car was involved in the accident.
Police have no further information about the accident at the time being.
