NSÍ Runavík have been drawn to face Hibernian F.C. from Scotland in the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round, reports The Scotsman.
The ties are scheduled for July 12 and 19, with Hibs at home in the first leg.
NSÍ Runavík will face Asteras Tripolis of Greece in the second qualifying round if they can get past Hibs.
NSÍ Runavík currently lie third in the Premier Faroese division, one point ahead of B36 Tórshavn. HB Tórshavn and KÍ Klaksvík occupy the top two spots.
Earlier this month the draws for the preliminary games of the Europa League were held.
KÍ Klaksvík from the Faroe Islands were drawn against Birkirkara from Malta, while B36 Tórshavn were paired with St. Joseph’s FC from Gibraltar.
KÍ will play their first leg game in Malta, while B36 Tórshavn will play their first leg in the Faroe Islands.
The first leg matches will be played on 28 June, with the return matches expected on 5 July.
