A website dedicated to branding the Faroe Islands as a fisheries and fish farming nation has been launched.
FaroeseSeafood.com saw the light of day last Thursday, undoubtedly much to the delight of Faroese seafood companies.
Uvmr.fo states that the purpose of the website is to make it easier for foreign buyers to find Faroese fish exporters – via the so called Export Directory.
The Export Directory is an overview of companies exporting seafood from the Faroe Islands. The list is not exhaustive as it is voluntary to be listed on these pages. It is the companies themselves that have registered the information in the registry, writes FaroeseSeafood.com.
FaroeseSeafood.com is a collaboration between the Faroese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Faroese Ministry of Fisheries, the Faroese Fish Producers Association, the Association of Faroese shipowners and the Faroese Fish Sellers Association.
Visit Faroe Islands has also participated in the collaboration.
