KÍ maintain perfect start to campaign thanks to Bjartalíð’s lone goal against NSÍ

NSÍ Runavík-KÍ Klaksvík 0-1 (0-1)

Two wins from two tricky away fixtures and KÍ Klaksvík, last year’s runners-up in the Betri Division, are up and running under fiery coach Mikkjal Thomassen.

Faroese striker Jóannes Bjartalíð broke the deadlock after 10 minutes and set Thomassen’s KÍ Klaksvík on course for a 1-0 win today against NSÍ Runavík at Við Løkin Stadion in Runavík.

Elsewhere, the defending Faroese champions Víkingur were defeated 2-1 against HB Tórshavn at Gundadalur Stadion in Tórshavn.

Heðin Hansen put the visitors from Eysturoy ahead 1-0 after 20 minutes but Adrian Justinussen equalised nine later.

In the 77th minute, HB Tórshavn’s John Frederiksen scored to give HB Tórshavn a much needed 2-1 victory.
