The unemployment rate for Faroe Islanders ticked down to 1.1% in August from 1.5% a year earlier, reports Hagstova Føroya (Statistics Faroe Islands).
The male jobless rate declined 0.5 point from August 2018 to 0.8 percent, while that for women declined 0.6 point to 1.3 percent.
Suðuroy has the highest jobless rate in the Faroe Islands (2.8 percent), while Norðoyggjar (the Northern Islands) and Norðstreymoy have the lowest (0.6 percent).
