KÍ‘s fiery coach Mikkjal Thomassen was given marching orders in the first half of their 0-0 draw with lowly Skála in a Betri Divison (premier division) game yesterday.
Thomassen was not particularly happy with the standard of refereeing and let his feelings know to referee Rúni Gærdbo.
– Fuck, this is ridiculous. Damn, this is so ridiculous. I can‘t even describe it. Are you planning on letting him (some random Skála player) get away with this, Thomassen was heard shouting at the referee.
Thomassen was subsequently dismissed from the technical area and asked to leave the stadium area.
KÍ Klaksvík – runners-up in the Faroese premier division last season – stay in the first position after yesterday‘s stalemate with 16 points while HB Tórshavn move to second place with 13 points with a strong 2-1 win away from home over NSÍ Runavík.
