Edmundsson header helps Arminia Bielefeld beat Jahn Regensburg and go top of the Bundesliga 2

Faroe Islands national team striker Jóan Símun Edmundsson scored his first goal of the season to help German outfit Arminia Bielefeld clinch a 3-1 away win over Jahn Regensburg in a Bundesliga 2 match on Saturday.

Edmundsson headed home from close range to put his side up 1-0 in the 43th.

Max Besuschkow equalised for the hosts inside the opening minute of the second period, but after 63 minutes Bielefeld regained the lead through Manuel Prietl.

Reinhold Yabo put the game out of reach in the 83rd minute.

Arminia Bielefeld currently sit joint-top of the Bundesliga 2 table, with 8 points from four games.
