Faroese national airline Atlantic Airways has announced that its net profit increased to DKK 16.2 million in 2018 from DKK 3.3 million in 2017.
This comes after Atlantic’s net profit declined to DKK 3.3 million in 2017 from DKK 28.0 million a year earlier. Atlantic Airways stated back then that this decline was mainly due to “the new state of competition” (from SAS).
However, it now appears that Atlantic Airways has adapted to the new circumstances.
According to uvmr.fo, 2018 was a record-breaking year for Atlantic Airways, which welcomed 308.000 passengers in 2018, a 10.0 percentage point increase over the previous year.
