Last week a lucky Faroe Islander won no less than DKK 20 million in the Danish national lottery.

The winning mega millions lottery ticket was sold in the Effo gas station in the village of Tvøroyri on Suðuroy.

The winner has now identified him/herself to Danske Spil and has told the lottery’s website that he/she intends to spend the money and enjoy it  – and rather than spending the huge sum on traveling or making investments, he/she is planning to help the family and make improvements in the local area, writes Kvf.fo.

The winner wishes to be anonymous.
