The first of four Airbus A320neo has arrived at Vágar Airport for Atlantic Airways on Friday afternoon.
The aircraft arrived from Hamburg, Germany.
The new additions will allow Atlantic Airways to further develop its European network – much to the delight of Niels Mortensen, chairman of Atlantic Airways:
“Atlantic Airways continues to connect the Faroe Islands to the rest of the world with more departures, new destinations, partnerships with other airlines and promotion of the Faroe Islands as a travel destination,” says Mr. Mortensen, according to Faroeislands.fo.
“Our aim is to have a modern fleet with the newest technology. We must prepare for the future by investing in new aircraft in order to remain competitive when it comes to ticket prices, and to protecting our environment.”
