According to Lifestyle Magazine Men’s Journal, Faroese hotel Havgrím Seaside Hotel is one of ten best new Nordic hotels.
Havgrím Seaside Hotel is a comfortable and luxurious boutique hotel, located by the seaside in Tórshavn and only a 10-minute walk to the city centre. It boasts unbeatable panoramic views of the coastline and the island of Nólsoy.
Men‘s Journal elaborates on the new hotel, which opened earlier this year: “Originally built in 1948 and known by locals as the Commodore’s House, the stately property was purchased in 2017 and officially re-opened to guests in April of 2018 after a series of updates and renovations. Its new look feels refreshed (bright, white linens swathed in natural light) while still maintaining the building’s original style and charm. With only a handful of rooms and suites, the hotel provides the perfect hideaway overlooking the wave-lapped shores of Streymoy Island.”
Havgrím Seaside Hotel has 14 double rooms and a restaurant.
The other best new Nordic hotels are Reykjavík Konsúlat Hótel (Iceland), Hotel Sanders (Denmark), Hotel Norge (Norway), Bank Hotel (Sweden), Scandic Lillestrøm (Norway), The Retreat at Blue Lagoon Iceland (Iceland), Hotel Herman K (Denmark), Hotel St. George (Finland) and Downtown Camper by Scandic (Sweden).
