Tórshavn Swim Club hires renowned Greek as new head coach

Havnar Svimjifelag has signed a three-and-a-half year deal with 36-year-old Panagiotis Christou, nicknamed Panos.

Havnar Svimjifelag (Tórshavn Swim Club, HS) has hired a new head coach.

Faroese news website reports that HS has signed a three-and-a-half year deal with 36-year-old Greek swim coach Panagiotis Christou, nicknamed Panos.

Mr. Christou, thus, leaves his current role as head coach at SK Poseidon, a prominent Swedish swim club.

Previously, Mr. Christou has also coached in Norway and Greece. He retired from professional swimming at the age of 24.

Mr. Christou starts his new job on January 21.
