Intercultural football event for kids to be held in Sandavágur and Eiði

A football event for children (5 – 12 years old) with immigrant backgrounds will be held on the 30nd March 2019 in Sandavágur and Eiði.

Most Faroese kids are part of sport clubs in their local communities and this is therefore an important part of their childhood and their wellbeing. This event is a possibility for intercultural children to experience a training session and also to socialize with other kids.

Both kids who already are playing football and kids who are not playing football are invited to participate in the events.

The parents are also invited to participate, and while the kids are having fun on the pitch we will invite the parents to a cup of coffee and inform them about the importance and benefits of being part of a sports club.

The event in Sandavágur Stadium starts at 10.00 And the event at Eiði Stadium starts at 15.00. Both events will last 1 hour after the event all the children will be offered fruit and soda.

It is free to attend the event and all the children will get a football.

Sign up by sending a mail to [email protected] with the information about the child’s name, age and hometown and if you want to participate in Sandavágur or Eiði. We would also like to know whether the child is already playing football (and in which club).
