Heavy rain floods Faroe fields

The weather has been pretty bad this morning.

Temperatures have been alright, 6-8 degrees Celsius, but it has been very windy: southwest winds 12-16 ms over much of the country, gusts up to 37 ms on the island of Suðuroy and 28 ms on the island of Streymoy – and it will continue like that the rest of the day, but becoming 8-22 ms & 7-9 degrees Celsius tomorrow, reports Portal.fo.

It has also been very foggy and rainy this morning.

Fields around the country were flooded as rain fell throughout the morning (see picture from the village of Oyrareingir above).

It will also be a wet day tomorrow with rainfall of 0.1-1.5 mm.
