The first multi-sports hall in the Faroes opens today

Today is a historic day for Faroese sports as the first multi-sports hall in the country opens today in Vágur, Suðuroy.

Today is a historic day for Faroese sports as the first multi-sports hall in the country opens today in Vágur, Suðuroy.

The official name of the hall is ”Marghøllin”.

Marghollin.fo states that the first football-training session will be held today at 2.30pm:

14.30 – FC Suðuroy, U11 & U13 – Girls & Boys
16.00 – FC Suðuroy, U7 & U9 – Girls & Boys
17.15 – FC Suðuroy, U15 & U17
18.30 – TB/FC Suðuroy/Royn, Betri deildin (The Premier Division)
20.00 – FC Suðuroy, U21

The pitch size in Marghøllin is 60x40m – i.e. it is a 9-a-side pitch.

Marghøllin will also be able to host athletic events as it features a four lane 60 metres running track.
