Bakkafrost expects to harvest 54.5 thousand tonnes which is slightly up from its previous estimate of 53 thousand tonnes.

The Faroese salmon farming company harvested a total of 12.3 thousand tonnes of salmon in the fourth quarter of 2018, divided into 4 thousand tonnes in the northern region and 8.3 thousand tonnes in Region West (of the Faroes).

Subsidary Havsbrún sold 24.7 thousand tonnes of feed during Q4 2018. The fish feed producer purchased 46.5 thousand tonnes of raw material feed during the same period, writes Salmonbusiness.com.
